Set back for Kasper Dolberg as injury overshadows recent form

Anderlecht could be set to be without Kasper Dolberg for a few weeks. The Danish forward had to leave the pitch near the end of the first half after picking up a muscle injury following a collision with Brandon Mechele in Sundays clash with Club Brugge. Remarkably, even after the injury the 25-year-old was able to score the opening goal, making it two in two and four in eight matches this season.

It is certainly a major set back for a striker who has been searching for confidence over the past number of seasons. After struggling in Nice, and with two unsuccessful loan spells in Germany and Spain, Dolberg move to Anderlecht in a bid to regain the form he had shown during his time at Ajax. In the Netherlands the young forward had scored 45 goals in 119 games.

In eight games for Anderlecht he has already scored more than he did for both Sevilla and TSG Hoffenheim in 22 games.
