Ryan Gravenberch is one of 20 players to have been named on the latest shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy award.
The Golden Boy award is voted on by journalists from all over the world and is given to whoever they believe was the best player under 21 years of age in the calendar year.
Being 20, Gravenberch is eligible, and after surviving each previous cut, the midfielder has been named as one of the remaining 20 players still in contention to win it.
If he did so, the Bayern Munich man would become the second Dutchman in four years to win it with Matthijs de Ligt lifting it in 2018.
However, itโs hugely unlikely that he will given the lack of appearances heโs made since joining his new club and the impressive performances of Pedri and Jude Bellingham in particular.
Itโs more likely that he wonโt make it into the final 10, but to get this far is a commendable achievement nonetheless.
