Ryan Gravenberch admits being disappointed by first few months at Bayern Munich

Ryan Gravenberch has admitted that his first few months at Bayern Munich have been disappointing for him given his lack of playing time.

Gravenberch left Ajax for the Bundesliga champions this summer but has yet to make his mark in Germany, starting just one of the first 11 matches.

Due to his lack of playing time, he hasn’t been able to force his way back into the Netherlands squad for the upcoming matches, and has admitted he was hoping to play more for his club.

“To be honest, yes I am,” he said when asked if he was disappointed that he wasn’t being picked.

“You want to play but the manager is picking other players. I have to accept it but it’s difficult. I was hoping for more minutes but I have to stay calm.

“Maybe the manager will be giving me more minutes after the International break.”

That being said, going to the World Cup is still very much his aim.

“I would love to go to the World Cup. We will see what happens. I haven’t given up yet,” he added.
