RWDM considering sacking former Troyes head coach after just five matches

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that RWDM are already considering parting ways with head coach Bruno Irles. The former Troyes manager took over on the 14th of February and has managed just five games, losing four and drawing one. Losses to the likes of Kortrijk have seen the side sit rock bottom of the league. Under Irles, the team have scored just four goals and conceded an incredible 14 in the five match span.

RWDM, who only returned to the top flight of Belgian football this season, are now the favourites to be relegated. With three wins on the bounce and by far the worst defence in the league, there appears little hope that anyone would be able to turn things around. They begin the relegation play-offs six points adrift of automatic safety, but just a point behind Eupen in 14th. Finishing in this position would mean that the side would then face another play-off, this time against the team that wins the play-offs in the Challenger Pro League.
