Ruud van Nistelrooy expecting to have fully fit squad for Ajax match

Ruud van Nistelrooy is expecting to have a fully fit squad at his disposal for PSV’s match with Ajax.

PSV have had a number of injury problems this season with Noni Madueke, Luuk de Jong and Mauro Junior missing the majority of the campaign.

The former two are now fit again but their return coincided with Phillip Max and Jarrad Branthwaite getting injured and Ibrahim Sangare falling ill.

They all missed PSV’s 2-1 win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday along with Mauro but the manager is confident they’ll all be fit for the crucial match with Ajax at the weekend.

“It looks good towards Sunday,” he told ESPN in Norway.

PSV can go top of the Eredivisie if they beat Ajax with the Eindhoven side currently one point behind the reigning champions having played one match more.

If the two draw, AZ can go above them both and take top spot themselves if they beat RKC Waalwijk.
