Ronald Koeman adds PSV defender Jordan Teze to the Netherlands squad as Jeremie Frimpong drops out due to injury

Jordan Teze has been called up to the Netherlands national team. The PSV Eindhoven defender will join the squad tonight after Jeremie Frimpong picked up an injury during training.

Teze has only ever featured three times for the senior Netherlands team and each of those appearances came under the management of Louis van Gaal. Teze played in both games against Wales and against Poland in last year’s Nations League. Now, he could play for the Netherlands in their upcoming Euro qualifiers with Ireland and Gibraltar. Jordan Teze can play as a right-back or central defender.

Earlier this week Brian Brobbey and Steven Bergwijn were forced to drop out of the squad due to a lack of match fitness. The Ajax duo returned to Amsterdam and were replaced by just one player. Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga received his first senior national team call-up. The Netherlands face Ireland this Saturday as they aim to secure qualification for Euro 2024.
