Roma’s Justin Kluivert is set to sign for Fulham on an initial season-long loan with the Premier League club obligated to buy him for €9.5m at the end of it.
The Dutch winger has been linked with Fulham throughout the transfer window but in recent weeks the English side have looked in danger of missing out with Ajax becoming interested.
However, that won’t be the case with a deal being reached with Roma that will see him join on loan for the coming season before being bought permanently at the end of it.
Fulham will pay Roma €9.5m at that point regardless of how he performs and whether they remain in the Premier League or get relegated.
Kluivert spent last season on loan at Nice and impressed at times, getting four goals and six assists in 27 league appearances. At the age of 23, he still has plenty of time to live up to his potential.
