Tessa Wullaert has done it again. The Inter Milan striker was crowned the best Belgian female footballer for the third year in a row. The 32-year-old had already broken the record for most Golden Shoeโs won by an individual player and the latest accolade has given her six overall. Wullaertโs 15 goals for Belgium in 2025 was the most of any individual female footballer for their country this calendar year, although the Red Flames struggled during the recent Euroโs in Switzerland.
At club level, Wullaert once again excelled. Now in her second season with Inter, Wullaert is already on course to surpass her goal tally from the previous year. During the 2024/2025 season, Wullaert provided Inter with 10 goals in 23 games. In just 14 games so far during 2025/2026 she has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists. Her Inter side are currently fourth in the Serie A Femminile.
Wullaert began her career with Anderlecht before moving to rivals Standard Liege in 2013. After 36 goals in 56 games, Wullaert joined Wolfsburg. After two seasons in Germany she moved to Manchester City before returning to Anderlecht in 2020. This was only a brief spell before she joined Fortuna Sittard. Wullaert was unstoppable in Dutch football, scoring 53 goals in 50 games. Inter came calling and are currently enjoying prime Wullaert.
