According to Qatari sports media Alkass TV Sports, Marwan Al Sahafi is attracting interested from a few clubs in England and Spain. The report named three of the interested clubs; Real Betis and Real Sociedad in Spain and Nottingham Forest in England. The youngster is currently on loan at Beerschot from Al Ittihad. The 20year-old has emerged as a real fan favourite and star player for the struggling Beerschot in recent weeks, with four goals in seven games including a brace against defending champions Club Brugge.
Al Sahafi had only scored twice for Al Ittihad in 41 games over two seasons but seems to have found a home in Belgium. His pace and dribbling ability have really helped a side that look to set up with a low block and play on the counter. His move to Belgium goes to show that, while there are certainly more eyes on the Saudi Pro League than before, going to Europe has immense benefits should a player begin to perform.
Al Sahafi, who can play either as a winger or as a striker, is under contract until 2029 with parent club Al Ittihad. Accorindg to Transfermarkt, his current value is just around €550k, although it is likely that the club would ask for more than that given his age.
