RB Leipzig showing interest in Victor Boniface

Voetbalkrant are reporting that RB Leipzig are showing interest in Union St Gilloise striker Victor Boniface. The Nigerian has been one of the best performers in the Europa League this season, scoring six goals in nine 10 games. In the league Boniface has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 31 games.

RB Leipzig are not the only side interested in the forward. Union Berlin, who the Belgian Union knocked out of the Europa League, have reportedly shown interest. The Belgian side are willing to let the striker go but will be looking to break their own transfer record in the process.

For now, Boniface and Union are focused on the play-offs. The side are level on points with Genk at the top of the title group, with a chance at winning their first title for decades. They came close last year, but were pipped during the play-offs by defending champions Club Brugge.
