RB Leipzig interested in signing Mike Tresor

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that RB Leipzig are looking at signing Mike Tresor from Genk. According to Tavolieri, there have been contract discussions between the club and Tresor’s agent, however there have not yet been discussions between the two sides over a fee. The Belgian international has already stated that he does not want to move to Crystal Palace, one of the teams that were reportedly interested in signing him.

Tresor finished the season with an incredible 24 assists in 42 games, alongside eight goals. He took up the mantle from the departing Junya Ito and Theo Bongonda to push Genk towards a title. They were ultimately pipped to the trophy by a late Toby Alderweireld goal on the final day of the season.

Genk are set to make another summer signing in Hendrik van Crombrugge from Anderlecht. Hendrik van Crombrugge is having a medical ahead of a move to Genk for around €1.3m, although this could rise to €1.95m. The once capped Belgian international lost his starting place at the Mauves to Bart Verbruggen, who has since left to join Brighton. Rather than regain his place as the number one, Anderlecht wanted to move their former captain on due to his significant wages. Anderlecht are set to sign Maxime Dupé on a free from Toulouse to become their new number one.
