Noni Madueke is close to signing for Chelsea in a deal worth around €35 million, according to journalist Rik Elfrink.
The Eindhoven Dagblad journalist broke the news on Twitter stating the 20-year-old winger is on his way to join the Blues in the Premier League.
He tweeted: “Chelsea will definitely buy Noni Madueke from PSV. There is a very large bag of money on the table. Things have moved quickly today.”
Earlier, Elfrink confirmed Madueke reported to training as per normal for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side days after the head coach admitted it will be hard keeping the English-born winger as interest continued to grow.
Madueke joined PSV in 2018 after spells in Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur’s youth systems before making his debut for Jong PSV in August 2019 in the Eerste Divisie.
The winger, who can play in attacking midfield too, made his senior debut for PSV in January 2020 against VVV Venlo and his since made 50 appearances in all competitions with 11 goals and nine assists.
The transfer now means PSV have sold two key attacking players in this transfer to Premier League clubs with top scorer and provider Cody Gakpo joining Liverpool at the start of the window.
Captain Luuk de Jong admitted the loss of Gakpo has meant the side have found it difficult since the Eredivisie season restarted and with the loss of Madueke, things will get harder for the club.
