PSV to be without Veerman for clash with Groningen

Joey Veerman will miss PSV’s clash with Groningen on Saturday. The reigning champions announced that Veerman has a minor thigh injury.

The midfielder sustained the injury during last Sunday’s meeting with FC Twente. As a result, Veerman is not training with Peter Bosz’s squad this week, and won’t feature. Veerman could potentially return the following week at home against Telstar. He is expected back against NEC after the international break.

Bosz faces a challenge against FC Groningen, as Alassane Pléa is also out with a long-term injury. He sustained cartilage damage in his knee against FC Twente and isn’t expected back until 2026. It’s also currently unclear whether Ricardo Pepi will be available and fully fit for next Saturday. Therefore, a starting spot for Guus Til is expected.
