PSV talent Tygo Land signs long-term contract extension amid interest from several clubs

PSV Eindhoven have announced that Tygo Land has extended his contract with club. The 18-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal valid until the summer of 2029. The Eredivisie champions will be relived to have tied the youngster to a new deal seeing as several top European sides were reportedly interested in the player.

Tygo Land joined PSV in 2022 from Heerenveen. The central midfielder kicked things off in the U18 squad before being promoted to Jong PSV, where he featured 26 times last season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

Earlier this year Land was handed a spot in the first team. Peter Bosz played the youngster in games against Vitesse, PEC Zwolle and Utrecht in which he recorded an assist in the few minutes that he had. The midfielder will be hoping that he can solidify a place in the first team next season as PSV look to win a second successive Eredivisie title.
