PSV have had to disappoint two recently acquired Vitesse talents, returning them to their old club after they got their professional license back, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad.
PSV wanted to sign five talented players from Vitesse during this uneasy period and had already signed 18-year-old Jim Koller to Jong PSV. However, the Arnhem sideโs surprising comeback to professional football has changed the situation.
Two players have been told they must return to Arnhem, โwhich has led to some awkward situations,โ the ED reports. โThe players involved already assumed they would be working at PSV, and now the transfer is suddenly off.โ
PSV claimed to have to pay between โฌ100,000 and โฌ200,000 for most of the players. For the two players in question, whose names have not been disclosed, PSV considered such a sum to be excessive.
