PSV reach personal agreement with Hirving Lozano as the Mexican winger seems set for a return to the Philips Stadion

According to Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV have moved a step closer to sealing the sensational return of Hirving Lozano. The Mexican winger has reached a personal agreement with PSV and is set to undergo medical tests this week. The Dutch club are approaching an agreement with Napoli to sign Lozano for around €14m.

Hirving Lozano left PSV to join Napoli in the summer of 2019. The Italian champions paid more than €40m for the 28-year-old right winger following his super spell at the Philips Stadion. Lozano scored 40 goals and provided 23 assists in 79 PSV appearances. The former Pachuca player helped the club lift the Eredivisie title during the 17/18 season. With Napoli, Lozano has scored 30 goals and provided 17 assists in 155 appearances. He’s recently fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

With just a few days remaining in the summer transfer window, PSV could be in need of a new winger. Currently, several Premier League sides including Burnley, Brentford and Liverpool have eyes on Belgian talent Johan Bakayoko, with PSV hoping to receive over €30m for the sale of the 20-year-old. The Dutch giants are preparing for the player’s departure by bringing in Hirving Lozano. This could be a brilliant bit of business from PSV, who are aiming for their 25th Eredivisie title this season.
