PSV plan to make move for FC Utrecht defender Ryan Flamingo this summer

According to Voetbal International, PSV are looking to strengthen in defence this summer and have identified Utrecht’s Ryan Flamingo as their number one transfer target. The league leaders have been keeping tabs on the centre-back for sometime now, but they’re finally set to make a move for the 21-year-old.

Ryan Flamingo is on loan at Utrecht from Serie A side Sassuolo. The Netherlands youth international has featured 27 times in the Eredivisie this season, switching between centre-back and defensive midfield. His versatility is an attribute that PSV are particularly keen on. Flamingo was an Almere City academy graduate before making the move to Italy. He spent last season on loan at Vitesse, so he’s already got plenty of Eredivisie experience.

Flamingo is incredibly fast, physical and excellent in the air. He’s got plenty of potential and could be the perfect signing for PSV, who are already looking to strengthen ahead of the new season. The Eindhoven club are currently nine points clear at the top of the table and on course to be crowned champions for the first time since the 17/18 season.
