PSV have been given a huge injury boost ahead of their Europa League clash with Arsenal, with Mauro Junior, Noni Madueke and Luuk de Jong all in contention to return.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has had to do without the former two for the entirety of the season to date and without the latter for the majority of it.
It was hoped that Madueke would be able to return at the weekend against Utrecht but he ultimately wasn’t able to do so. However, Van Nistelrooy believes all three could against Arsenal.
“The match against FC Utrecht came just too early. I expect him (Madueke) to join on Thursday. It could be that they are also there,” he said.
“They will first make minutes and from then on they can really raise the competition in the team. With competition, you push each other to the limit. The players know that there are matches every three days.
“You make each other better and you can already see that the level is rising.”
