PSV Eindhoven confirm Fabio Silva loan signing from Wolves

Fabio Silva has joined PSV Eindhoven in a loan deal for the rest of the season, the club has confirmed

The 20-year-old striker joined from Premier League side Wolves for the remainder of the season having spent the first half at Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht. 

Silva’s arrival marks the first arrival for PSV as head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy looks to bolster his squad having lost Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo this month already. 

The youngster told the club’s website he is looking forward to working under Van Nistelrooy and spoke highly of his new boss’ reputation as a former striker himself. 

He said: “Young talents are given time to develop their skills. I am sure I can learn a lot from Ruud van Nistelrooy, one of the best strikers ever.”

Director of Football Marcel Brands spoke of his delighted of bringing the young forward to Eindhoven. 

He said: “Fabio is a versatile forward who can play in various positions up front. We are pleased he has strengthened our attacking options.” 

Silva has already completed a training session with the club and could make his home debut in this weekend’s Eredivisie clash against Go Ahead Eagles. 

The club also confirmed defender Ki-Jana Hoever’s time at the Philips Stadion is over too.
