PSV Eindhoven closing in on signing of Malik Tillman on loan from Bayern Munich with option to buy

According to Florian Plettenberg, PSV Eindhoven are close to completing the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Malik Tillman. PSV have entered the final negotiations with Bayern over a one-year loan with an option to buy the US international for around €14m. The Dutch giants will pay a loan fee of around €1m.

Malik Tillman spent last season on loan at Rangers, where he scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 43 appearances. The 21-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder or on either wing. Now, Tillman’s a top target for Peter Posz. This summer, the PSV head coach has already brought in Noa Lang from Club Brugge and Ricardo Pepi from FC Augsburg. Pepi could soon be playing alongside his US international teammate.

Born in Nuremberg to an American father, Tillman kicked off his career in Bayern Munich’s youth academy. The player has spent the last seven years of his career with Bayern, and after a successful loan spell in Scotland, he’s set to join PSV Eindhoven. If things work out for Tillman, he could potentially spend a lot longer than one season in the Netherlands.
