PSV could be without key midfielder for Champions League clash with Sporting

VI are reporting that PSV could be set to be without Joey Veerman for a crucial Champions League match up with Sporting on Tuesday evening. The midfielder had to be taken off injured during the sides win in the Eredivisie over Willem II this weekend. Head coach Peter Bosz is not counting on Veerman being fit enough to play in Eindhoven against the team from Lisbon.

PSV have had a fantastic start to the season, winning all seven of their opening Eredivisie games and scoring 25 goals in the process. Veerman has already grabbed five assists domestically, with one goal as well. He will certainly be a huge loss for the side in a game that they need to pick up points from. During their opening Champions League clash with Juventus they were well beaten 3-0 in Italy. With PSG up next away from home, they can ill afford to travel to Paris having lost both of their opening games in Europe this season.
