Thanks to their excellent win over Arsenal, PSV will qualify for the next round of the Europa league regardless of how they do against Bodo/Glimt, but they could take top spot with a win.
For that to happen though, not only do they have to claim victory, but Arsenal have to fail to beat FC Zurich at home, which is hugely unlikely.
Nevertheless, Ruud van Nistelrooy will want to ensure his side do their part in the unlikely event that happens, and so will most likely play a strong starting XI.
He can’t play his best team with Ibrahim Sangare, Phillip Max, Mauro Junior and Jarrad Branthwaite all injured, but every important player that is fit should play.
With Sangare out, Xavi Simons could well play through the middle with Noni Madueke making his first start of the season, while 20-year-old Fredrik Oppegard is most likely to play at left-back.
Who will play on the other side out of Jordan Teze and Phillip Mwene is the biggest question mark, but the more conservative Teze is probably a little more likely to start given there will be an inexperienced and potentially defensively vulnerable option on the left of the backline.
Here’s how PSV will most likely line up:
BenÃtez; Teze, Ramalho, Obispo, Oppegard; Gutierrez, Simons, Veerman; Madueke, De Jong, Gakpo.
