PLAYER RATINGS | Vitesse 2-5 Feyenoord

Feyenoord and Vitesse produced a thriller in their first match of the Eredivisie season, with the Rotterdam club’s new signings giving them the three points.

Here’s how we rated every player’s performance…

Vitesse

Jeroen Houwen, 4 – Made a huge mistake for Feyenoord’s fourth goal, being caught in possession, and arguably should have prevented two others too.

Ferro, 5

Melle Meulensteen, 5

Enzo Cornelisse, 6

Carlens Arcus, 6

Matus Bero, 5

Sondre Tronstad, 6

Maximillian Wittek, 6

Million Manhoef, 7 – Undoubtedly Vitesse’s best player. Scored a great goal, set up another, and worked really hard.

Nikolai Baden Frederiksen, 6

Toni Domgjoni, 5

SUBSTITUTES

Mohamed Sankoh, 5

Thomas Buitink, N/A

Daan Huisman, N/A

Ryan Flamingo, N/A

Romaric Yapi, N/A

Feyenoord

Justin Bijlow, 6

Lutsharel Geertruida, 6

Gernot Trauner, 6

Jacob Rasmussen, 5 – Lost his man a few times and didn’t look to be a worthy replacement for Marcos Senesi.

Marcus Pedersen, 7 – Looked more comfortable than most would have expected at left-back, creating a few chances and doing nothing wrong defensively. Could he be the replacement for Tyrell Malacia that the club need?

Fredrik Aursnes, 7

Quinten Timber, 7

Javairo Dilrosun, 8 – Was hugely threatening in his first ever Eredivisie match, causing real problems with his pace and dribbling, getting on the scoresheet and coming close to doing so more than once.

Sebastien Szymanski, 9 – An absolutely stunning debut for the Pole, who got two great assists and looked like creating something every time he got the ball.

Patrik Walemark, 7

Danilo, 8 – Another dream debut, with Danilo scoring two opportunistic goals. He should have had a hat-trick, missing a big chance, but his movement and finishing was very impressive nonetheless.

SUBSTITUTES

Jens Toornstra, 7

Oussama Idrissi, 6

Alireza Jahanbakhsh, N/A

Cole Basset, N/A

Noah Naujoks, N/A

Finley Crebolder
