Philippe Clement could return to Club Brugge in the summer

Voetbalkrant and RMC Sport are reporting that there is a possibility Phillipe Clement could return to Club Brugge this summer. It appears that he is set to leave Monaco this summer, having joined the Principality back in January 2022. Clement brought plenty of success to Club Brugge as he won back to back titles before leaving for a new challenge.

While there have been no concrete talks as of yet, there have been discussions between the club and Clement about the possibility of returning. Club Brugge are searching for their fifth head coach since Clement left the club, having gone through Alfred Schreuder, Carl Hoefkens, Scott Parker and now Rik De Mil. The latter will remain in charge for the rest of the play-offs, but it is appearing increasingly unlikely that he will be given the job full-time next season.

Club Brugge are set to relinquish the title this season. Despite a strong Champions League performance they have been inconsistent in the league and will see the title head to either Genk, Union St Gilloise or Antwerp.
