PEC Zwolle have signed Koen Kostons from SC Paderborn. The former MVV Maastricht striker has signed a contract until 2029 and is expected to come to Zwolle as a replacement for Dylan Vente.
Kostons spent six months on loan at Belgian side KV Kortrijk last season and failed to score in 13 league matches. However, Kostons has already played over 150 matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie with MVV, scoring 32 goals and providing an assist 36 times.
In Zwolle, Kostons aims to take Dylan Venteโs spot. The Surinamese international forward transferred to SC Heerenveen earlier this summer.
For Kostons, a comeback to the Netherlands was the ideal choice at this point in his career. โIโm thrilled to be returning to the Netherlands with PEC Zwolle and making my debut in the Eredivisie. Technical director Gerry Hamstra explains what kind of striker PEC fans can expect with this transfer. โKoen is a footballing centre forward and is incredibly goal-oriented. At 25, he already has a wealth of experience, but he certainly still has the potential to grow.โ
