Oussama El Azzouzi set to replace Casper Nielsen at Union Saint-Gilloise after being seen at match

Union Saint-Gilloise seem to have found their replacement for Casper Nielsen, with Oussama El Azzouzi spotted attending their match against Charleroi.

Nielsen was a key player for Union last season, scoring seven goals and getting six assists, so it was a big blow when he left for Club Brugge this summer.

As soon as it became clear that the Dane was going to leave, El Azzouzi began to be linked with the club, with Het Nieuwsblad reporting that had been agreed with his current team, FC Emmen, and that deal now looks to be done, with him seen at the match between Union and Charleroi.

After impressing in the Dutch second division last season, playing a big part in his team’s title triumph El Azzouzi was subject to interest from many in this transfer window, with Union Berlin also being linked with him,

However, it’s seemingly now only a matter of time before his move to Belgium is confirmed.
