Osher Davida set to depart Standard Liege after just one season

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Israeli winger Osher Davida is set to leave Standard Liege this summer. The 22-year-old only joined from Hapoel Tel Aviv last year, but after 23 games he is set to return to his native Israel to join Maccabi Tel Aviv. The paper is reporting that the club will receive just under €1m for Davida, but that could rise to €1.4m in the future. The Israeli U21 international only made four league starts for the club, with the rest of his appearances coming from the bench. He did not score or provide an assist during that time.

Standard Liege could certainly do with the incoming finances for the deal. Their owners 777 are wanting to make he club self sustainable, meaning that they need to sell in order to buy. After five matches, they currently have no wins and just two points. Scoring goals has been their biggest issue, with just two having been scored so far this season. At the other end, they have conceded just five goals in their opening five matches.
