Oostende looking to bring Karlsruher’s Kelvin Arase in on loan

Badische Neueste Nachrichten are reporting that Oostende are closing in on a deal to bring Kelvin Arase in on loan. The Karlsruher attacker has only featured in seven league games for the Bundesliga 2 side this season, providing one assist. BNN have stated that the player is no longer training with the side as he looks to finalise the move.

The Nigerian born Arase can play on either flank or upfront, and has been capped at youth level for Austria. The 24 year-old began his career with Rapid Vienna in Austria, having loan spells at SV Ried and SV Horn. Arase left Austria for Germany in the summer of 2022, but it appears that the club are happy to loan him out.

Arase played over 100 games for Rapid Wien, scoring 13 goals and providing 15 assists.

Oostende have been active in the transfer window as they look to avoid relegation. Striker Ivan Durdov, defender Matej Rodin and midfielder Pierre Dwomoh have all joined in recent weeks.
