Oostende announce signing of Croatian striker Ivan Durdov

Oostende have announced the signing of 22 year old Croatian striker Ivan Durdov. The Croatian U20 has joined the club from NK Domalze in the Slovenian Prva Liga, where he has scored 7 goals in 17 matches. Durdov has signed until 2026, with an option to extend.

Durdov becomes Oostende’s third signing of the winter transfer window. At the other end of the pitch the club picked up central defender Matej Rodin from Cracovia, while Pierre Dwomoh joined on loan from Antwerp with a purchase option.

Oostende fans have begun to show frustration with the clubs hierarchy in recent days, with the defeats to relegation rivals Seraing and Mechelen being the catalyst. Oostende fans protested outside the club’s training ground, with banners were held aloft the translated into some demanding that PMG, the majority shareholders, should leave the club. Others from local supporter group 031 demanded more investment in the team to bring quality. The group referenced the fate of French side Nancy, also owned by PMG, who were relegated to the French third tier last season.
