Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Eupen’s Konan N’Dri is set to sign for OH Leuven. It appears that OHL have beaten Gent to the signing of the highly rated young winger, who can also play as a striker. The 22-year-old had his best season for the Pandas last campaign, despite their struggles resulting in them narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day. N’Dri scored seven goals and provided two assists, having only managed to score one in each of the previous two seasons. Overall, he has played 119 games for the side since 2019, scoring nine goals.
OH Leuven are in the need of attacking reinforcements and clearly see N’Dri as someone who can provide an attacking spark. Currently they have Nachon Nsingi as a player in the squad who can play as a striker. His profile is similar to that of N’Dri, in that he can also play out wide. The 22-year-old Belgian made his breakthrough last campaign, scoring five goals and providing one assist. Another forward option is Nathaniel Opoku of Leicester City, who late in the 2022/2023 season showed his ability in front of goal when he grabbed three in seven.
For Eupen, this is another blow after they lost their top scorer Stef Peeters after his contract expired at the end of the season.
