According to Het Nieuwsblad, OH Leuven are working on a deal to bring 21-year-old defender Rogerio Nyakossi to the club. The defender is currently playing for Marseille in Ligue 1, although he has not made a senior appearance for the side since joining back in 2022. This season he has played eight games for the sides second team in the third National, which is the fifth tier of French football.
The now 21-year-old Nyakossi cost the French side around €2m back in 2022 and he signed a deal until 2026. The Swiss defender joined from Servette, where he had come through the youth system and made just six appearances for the first team. Nyakossi has been capped at multiple youth levels by the Swiss national team and was even captain of the U20 side.
OH Leuven have already made one signing this window in striker Lequincio Zeefuik from AZ Alkmaar. They are said to be targeting four signings, so another two after the arrival of Nyakossi.
