Leicester have signed Belgian defender Wout Faes from Reims on a five-year deal.
With Wesley Fofana leaving the English club to sign for Chelsea, they quickly picked out Faes as their ideal replacement for the Frenchman.
The 24-year-old played in Ligue 1 for two seasons after joining from Pro League side Oostende, and impressed with his performances in France.
Those performances have now earned him a dream move, with Reims allowing him to join Leicester after rejecting approaches from Torino earlier in the summer.
“It’s an amazing feeling; it’s not sunk in yet,” he told the club website.
“This is the dream step in my career and I’m very happy to be here. I’m progressing year after year, and I hope to continue doing the same here.
“All the facilities and knowledge is here to help me to get even better. I will have to work hard, but I will give 100 per cent to help the team.”
