Official | Jacob Rasmussen joins Feyenoord on loan

Jacob Rasmussen has become Feyenoord’s fourth signing in as many days, joining the club on loan from Fiorentina for the season.

The Rotterdam club have been extremely busy in the past week, announcing the arrivals of Oussama Idrissi, Quinten Timber and Santiago Gimenez.

They still lacked defensive reinforcements though and have now addressed that with the signing of Rasmussen, who has already proved himself in the Netherlands.

The Dane has spent the past two years on loan at Vitesse and became a key player for the club, starting the vast majority of matches in both campaigns.

He more often than played on the left of a back three and will most likely serve as backup to Marcos Senesi at his new club, who have the option to make his loan permanent at the end of the season.

“I know the Dutch league well by now and have always looked at Feyenoord with great interest,” he told the Feyenoord website.

“The attacking way of playing really appeals to me and it suits me well. I can’t wait to play for this club.”
