Official | Fenerbahce sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea

Michy Batshuayi has left Chelsea to play for Fenerbahce on a permanent basis.

Both Batshuayi and Chelsea have been keen to go their separate ways this summer with the Belgian striker not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming season.

Everton and Wolves have both been interested in signing at some point but he looked set to join one of their Premier League rivals in the form of Nottingham Forest.

However, that move fell through at the last minute with Chelsea failing to submit paperwork before the English transfer window closed.

Instead, he has returned to Turkey, where he played for Besiktas last season. This time, he’ll be wearing the shirt of their rivals, Fenerbahce.

He has left Chelsea on a permanent basis rather than on loan as he has so often in the past, signing an initial two-year deal with the option included to extend it by one more.
