Official | Cercle Brugge replace Dominik Thalhammer with assistant manager Miron Muslic

Cercle Brugge have fired Dominik Thalhammer, and his assistant, Miron Muslic, has replaced him as the manager of the side.

The Pro League club have made a poor start to the season, sitting second from bottom after winning just one of their opening nine matches.

Thalhammer has now paid for that, with the club bringing an end to his somewhat short reign there that began just last year. His assistant for the entirety of that reign, Muslic, has been given the top job in his place.

“Cercle Brugge has ended its collaboration with Dominik Thalhammer,” a statement reads.

“Assistant coach Miron Muslic will be promoted to head coach and will lead the training sessions together with Jimmy De Wulf from Tuesday. An additional, new assistant coach will join the technical staff later.

“Cercle would like to thank Dominik Thalhammer for his efforts and wishes him all the best in his future. The Austrian coach was since November 2021 coach of Groen-Zwart.”
