Noa Lang and Toby Alderweireld exchanged a heated moment during Club Brugge’s 2-0 win over Antwerp this weekend. The former Belgian international took exception to when Lang, deep into added time, stood on the ball in showmanship fashion. The Antwerp captain went straight up to him to make his feelings known.
Speaking after the game, Lang said ‘It’s just part of football and I’m just that kind of player. if you don’t like it, just tackle me on the field and don’t act like a little baby’.
The Dutch international is unlikely to be wearing the Blue and Black of Club Brugge next season. It is expected that he will finally move to a big five league, something he has been wanting to do for a number of years. However, in the past, the winger has been patient in waiting for the right opportunity, as teams had come in for him in the past. This year it seems that he will make the move, with Club Brugge in the market to replace him. They have already signed Michal Skoras from Lech Poznan.
