Noa Lang sustains injury during first PSV training session

Noa Lang was forced to end his first training session with PSV early on Monday morning. Rik Elfrink reported that PSV’s brand new acquisition was injured after a few minutes of training and was then carried off the field. At first, the injury looked serious, but shortly after, Noa Lang was spotted training alone.

Lang officially joined PSV from Club Brugge last Saturday. The 24-year-old cost the Eredivisie club more than €15m, which makes the winger PSV’s record signing. He joined off the back of an incredible campaign in Belgium, where he scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 40 appearances for Club Brugge.

Lang signed on Saturday and less than three days later he’s already sustained an injury. Hopefully the seven-time Netherlands international will recover quickly. He’s due to be assed by the medical team this afternoon.

Head coach Peter Bosz also welcomed Xavi Simons, Ibrahim Sangaré, Joey Veerman, Philipp Mwene, Johan Bakayoko and Walter Benítez back to training on Monday morning. They were absent on Saturday during PSV’s pre-season friendly defeat to Sint-Truidense.
