Leeds and AC Milan target Noa Lang runs the show as Club Brugge breeze past KV Mechelen

Noa Lang ran the show for Club Brugge as the defending champions breezed past a poor Mechelen side. The Dutch international converted a 16th minute penalty after a Dimitri Lavalee handball int he box, before slotting home his second four minutes later. After the first, his celebration rattled the home fans who booed the player’s every touch. This certainly inspired the winger to play even better, as he ended the game having completed the most dribbles, been the most fouled and winning the most duels (11) in the match.

Lang was unable to cap off his display with a hat-trick, however Brandon Mechele did make it 3-0 on the 68th minute. Club Brugge never looked in trouble away to Mechelen, despite the hosts being one of the best sides at home this season. Malinwa only managed one shot on target out of their four, with an xG of 0.18. The away side, on the other hand, managed 18 shots in total and finished with an xG of 2.05.

With Gent and Standard winning, the black and blue could not afford to drop points as they look to try and finish in the top four.
