Napoli, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool scouting Club Brugge’s teenage defender

According to Voetbalkrant a host of European sides have instructed their scouts to start looking into Club Brugge’s teenage defender Jorne Spileers. The website has stated that as a result of the scouting of players such as Antonio Nusa, Andreas Skov Olsen and Tajon Buchanan, the 18-year-old has begun to appear on club radars.

In recent weeks, the teenager has begun to really improve after a rocky opening few months in the Pro League. Head coach Ronny Deila has opted to persist with the youngster over the likes of Dedryk Boyata, believing that the growing pains will be worth it in the end. In the past few games the defender has swapped places with Brandon Mechelen, operating as the right central defender rather than on the left, a position that appears to be more comfortable for him.

It is unlikely that Club Brugge will let the teenager go cheaply, given that he has started 14 matches this season and is one they view for the present and the future.
