Nachon Nsingi’s last minute winner ensures Leicester City’s sister club OH Leuven survive

OH Leuven left it late to ensure that they will be playing Pro League football next season. Nachon Nsingi struck in the 92nd minute to give the side a 1-0 win over KV Mechelen and help them climb out of the bottom four. The side finished level on points with Charleroi, but their superior goal difference means they survive and the Zebras must face the relegation play-offs.

This was OH Leuven’s first win since the 3rd of February, a run of five games that saw them perilously close to a bottom four finish. However, Oscar Garcia has managed to sneak the side into safety with a last gasp goal. While this was certainly a huge effort from the side, many will wonder how a side like Leuven were being threatened with relegation in the first place. The side have a fantastic set-up and should be able to push for a higher finish year on year.

For Mechelen, despite an incredible run to end the season they fall just short of a top six finish.
