NAC Breda show interest in Anderlechtโ€™s former Club Brugge and Ajax midfielder

HLN are reporting that NAC Breda have enquired about Anderlecht midfielder Mats Rits. The 32-year-old has played for Carl Hoefkens in the past and would certainly bring some extra experience and quality to the NAC midfield. However, the paper also reports that Rits has a number of options on the table, and so far has not been swayed to jump on the NAC offer. However, things may change and by the end of the window, Rits may well view NAC as a good option for getting game time and linking up with Hoefkens.

Rits joined Anderlecht in 2023 after five seasons with Club Brugge. During his time with the blue and black half of Brugge he won three Pro League titles and three Super Cups. Rits played 197 games for the side, scoring 23 goals. Prior to that, Rits had spent time with Beerschot and Ajax, although he never made a first team appearance in Amsterdam, joining KV Mechelen in 2013. Rits spent a long time in Mechelen, scoring 16 goals in 166 games. So far he has just one goal in 80 games for Anderlecht.
