Multiple top clubs, including Manchester United, are sending scouts to watch Cody Gakpo, with Southampton and Leeds no longer options for the PSV man.
Gakpo was linked with a move to England all summer, even holding talks with Erik ten Hag, but ultimately stayed put after Man Utd withdrew their interest and he opted against joining Southampton and Leeds.
Since then, the Dutchman has looked better than ever, getting 13 goals and 12 assists for his club already this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, that form has changed the situation regarding potential future destinations for him, with a number of top European clubs now sending people to watch him, including Man Utd.
As a result, it’s all but certain that he won’t be joining Southampton, Leeds or any other club that isn’t one of the biggest in the world.
When he will be leaving is unclear with the forward previously stating it may be better for him to see the season out at PSV.
