Multiple clubs are interested in signing Perr Schuurs from Ajax, the Dutch defender’s agent has confirmed.
With the rise of Jurrien Timber, Schuurs has struggled to secure a place in the Ajax starting XI in recent times, and with Calvin Bassey being signed to replace the other centre-back, Lisandro Martinez, that looks set to remain the case.
As a result, he reportedly wants to leave, and while the club would rather keep him as backup, they understand his point of view and would consider selling him for €12 million.
Reports have emerged from Italy claiming that Torino want to sign him, and his agent, Wessel, Weezenberg, says they are one of many clubs interested in doing so.
“In the coming days, it will become clear whether Perr leaves or stays,” he told De Telegraaf.
“Torino is an important candidate, but there are many more clubs [with a] concrete [interest] for Perr.”
