De Telegraaf: Marseille, Lyon and Lille compete for Mitchel Bakker

Atalanta left-back Mitchel Bakker is facing a return to Ligue 1. De Telegraaf knows that Marseille, Lyon, and Lille are all eyeing the Dutch defender’s signature. Bakker played for the latter club on loan last season.

The 24-year-old Bakker is under contract in Bergamo until the summer of 2027, but the chance that he will return to the Serie A club is small, according to De Telegraaf. He will probably stay in France.

Marseille, Lyon and Lille all want to sign him. For Lille, the former Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain player played 24 official matches last season, making a good impression with three goals and two assists.

The Lille board recently made it clear to Bakker that they would like to agree on a permanent deal with him. It is not known which club the left-footer prefers.

If he chooses Marseille, he will play in the Champions League next term. Lille and Lyon will be active in the Europa League in 2025-26.

It is not known exactly how much Bakker will cost. Transfermarkt estimates his current value at around seven million euros.
