Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Millwall are in the final stages of signing OH Leuven’s central midfielder Casper de Norre. Should he successfully pass his medical, the Belgian midfielder is expected to sign a three year contract with the London based side.
De Norre, who during the 2021/2022 season played as a left-back or left-midfielder, reinvented himself as a central midfielder during the 2022/2023 season. The 26-year-old had his best season in terms of goals and assists playing in a more central role, raking up four in each category. He was one of the sides best players during the campaign and it is of little surprise that other sides are looking at signing him.
De Norre began his career at Sint-Truiden, making 61 appearances and scoring three goals for the Canaries. Genk then signed the then defender in 2019, but after just 32 appearances he moved on loan to OH Leuven in October of 2020 before making the permanent switch in 2021. Since moving on a more permanent basis, de Norre has made 71 appearances for OHL and scored eight goals.
OHL already have a replacement signed after they recently announced that Japanese international Kento Misao has signed a two-year contract.
