Mike Tresor the leading assist maker in Europe, ahead of Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne

Genk’s Belgian winger Mike Tresor grabbed three assists against Antwerp at the weekend, bringing his total tally for the season to 11. This is two more than fellow Belgian Kevin De Bruyne and Argentinian Lionel Messi., the latter who is out of contract at PSG in the summer. Tresor is currently six assists ahead of fellow Pro League attackers Kevin Denkey and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, who both have five for the season.

Tresor managed seven assists last year, and is currently on track to beat last years top assist maker Xavier Mercier who managed 13. The Belgian winger has also chipped in with five goals, meaning he has 16 goal contributions so far this season.

Tresor joined Genk last season from Willem II and managed to grab eight assists, but failed to find the net. During his time in the Netherlands, the winger scored 14 goals and grabbed 18 assists in 60 appearances. He has already provided more assists at Genk than he did for Willem II, with 19 in 51 matches.
