FC Metz loanee Guillaume Dietsch out for six to eight weeks

RFC Seraing announced that young goalkeeper Guillaume Dietsch will be out for six to eight weeks with a fractured fibula. Dietsch was absent for the 1-1 draw with KV Oostende at the Stade du Pairay.

Dietsch has played for the Liege based side on loan from FC Metz since the 2020/2021 season and has yet to feature in the first team of the French side. The 21 year-old keeper has been ever present for Seraing since joining, playing 75 games in total.

Seraing will now turn to 21 year-old Timothy Galjé in place for Dietsch. Galjé joined Seraing in October of 2020 having spent time in the academies of both Club Brugge and Standard Liege. Saturday’s draw with Oostende was the first appearance for Galjé since he joined Seraing, and the young shot stopper was minutes away from keeping a clean sheet before Zach Medley scored a late equaliser for the away side.
