Memphis Depay has chosen to remain at Barcelona after being linked with an exit all summer.
It has looked like the Dutchman would leave the club throughout the transfer window with the two parties even agreeing to terminate his contract so that he could sign for someone else on a free transfer.
However, a move with his main suitors, Juventus, fell apart when they walked away due to his salary and he hasn’t had advanced talks with anyone else since.
In the final few days of the window, he has been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea, Sevilla, Real Sociedad and Marseille with talk that his entourage have been working hard to find him a move.
However, he has now tweeted that he has decided to remain at Barcelona for the time being.
“I have decided to stay at Barça!” he said.
“Fully committed to contribute to the club’s sporting success.”
