Chatter in Brazil: Memphis Depay fails to show up for Corinthians training

As per ESPN.nl, Memphis Depay is once again the talk of the town in Brazil. The Dutchman failed to show up for training with Corinthians.

The club expects the attacker to report tomorrow and explain why he is absent today.

Depay’s absence comes shortly after the news that Corinthians owes a substantial debt to the company responsible for Depay’s security in São Paulo. According to ESPN, the debt has already been settled, as have Depay’s outstanding wages.

With or without Memphis, Corinthians will be back in action on Sunday in the Brazilian Série A against Red Bull Bragantino.
