Bjorn Meijer transfer to Feyenoord cancelled despite successful medical

As per Voetbal International, Bjorn Meijerโ€™s move to Feyenoord is no longer going ahead. Although the left-back passed the medical examination, the club have pulled out.

Feyenoord and Club Brugge had initially agreed on a transfer fee of around five million euros, and Meijer passed his medical on Friday. However, with doubts surrounding the playerโ€™s immediate availability, Feyenoord decided to cancel the transfer.

There are important matches in the third preliminary round of the Champions League on the program, and the club wants to be at full strength right away. Feyenoord wanted to use Meijer straight from the start, but had doubts whether that would be possible. The search for a Quilindschy Hartman successor continues.
